Thanks for sharing this. I’ve sometimes explained Chanukah to non-Jews as a Jewish “gay pride”. It is a major simplification, but it helps to explain the holiday as an emphatic call to Jews to be “out.” This post helps my thinking. So much to learn! Be out as a Jew and out as you!
